Another post….sorry!
Lexington District 1 just announced again that school will be closed for students Friday. Teachers will report at normal times. This also means there are no after school activities allowed, meaning we are not allowed to rehearse!
The decision has been made to not attend the BOA regional. I know there are many students and parents that are disappointed, but please understand that decision was out of my hands. Mother nature made it impossible for us to even rehearse in over a week.
The good news is that not all is lost! We will be competing at the Palmetto Esprit de Corps Contest at Irmo HS! The folks at Irmo HS graciously allowed us to participate at the last minute. I have attached the itinerary for Saturday to this post.
I cannot tell you how excited I am to get this group of students back on the field so we can finally display to the public our show “The Oracle”!

Itinerary for the Palmetto Esprit de Corps Invitational
October 10th, 20157:30 – 7:45 AM Report to WKHS Band Room; please remember to eat a healthy breakfast and hydrate!

8:00 – Noon Rehearsal
Noon – 1 PM Lunch (bring your own lunch)
1:00 – 3:00 PM Rehearsal
3:00 – 5:10 PM Eat/Load/Dress; boosters are providing dinner meal.
5:10 – 5:25 PM Inspection
5:25 – 5:30 PM Load Busses
5:30 PM Depart for Irmo HS
6:15 PM Arrive @ Irmo HS; unload/prepare
6:45 PM Warm up
7:45 PM Performance!!!
9:45 PM Awards Ceremony
10:30 PM Depart for WKHS
11:15 PM Arrive back @ WKHS
If you would like to pick up your child at the end of the contest, you must turn in a note prior to us leaving WKHS. You may pick up your child at the busses, and you must sign out with our head chaperone. Now is the time for us to rise to the challenge!!! Bring your best effort today, work together, and remember:
