To the White Knoll Band Families:
I hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to the holidays! I wish you all the very best Thanksgiving and holiday season, spent with your family and friends!!
This is a reminder of our upcoming Lexington Christmas Parade, which takes place on Sunday, December 6th in downtown Lexington. The band will meet at the parking lot of the Wells Fargo Bank on the the corner of Hwy. 1 and 378, across from Rush’s and next door to McDonalds. Report time will be 2:00 PM. The parade begins at 3:00 PM, and proceeds down Main Street to Hwy 6, and ends around the corner.
The students should show up in shorts and band t-shirts, and make sure they have their band shoes and gloves. The uniforms will be distributed at the parade site, and turned in at the end of the parade. Large instruments and percussion equipment will be transported to the parade site by trailers.
We will have a short parade rehearsal on Friday, December 4th, from 4 – 5 PM on the band practice field.
Students, feel free to decorate your instruments, and wear festive hats! Color guard will be in track suits, and will be handing out candy canes!
