Blowfish Concessions starts 6/7/2014 2pm

Saturday, June 7th is our first concessions event with the Blowfish Baseball team at Capital City Stadium.

Call time is 2pm with the game beginning at 7pm.  Use the Parent/Student Charms area to sign up for working this event.

Any students under 16 years of age who are planning to work any Blowfish concessions events must have a Blowfish Permission form signed by their parents and turned in to WKBB. Only the one form is required for the year.

Blowfish Baseball concessions is a new fund-raiser for our band program and we hope to establish an excellent working relationship with the managers.  Centerplate concessions will no longer permit students under 16 to work, so we are hoping to fill in with other concessions for students under 16.

While these events require fewer workers for each stand, the events can be very profitable for us.  They pay differently from Centerplate in that each person working receives $7.25/hour for the time that they work.  In the case of this first event, WKBB has decided that all the profit earned will go into the student accounts for those who work.

We will be making a pay out at the end of summer to the accounts of all students who worked or had someone work for them at these types of qualifying event.  The money can be used towards this year’s band fees and other expenses.

Be sure to check the calendar and the event postings frequently for news of future events and to sign up.

Wear light colored shirt (such as  last year’s show shirt), khaki or black pants, capris, or  shorts (of an appropriate length).  Remember that is is hot in the stand.

Tennis shoes are a must. You can bring your own drink, cup, or jug. We are allowed one free hot dog and one free bottled drink or water. We are allowed to purchase from the stand as well at full price, but do not get reduced price meal tickets like we do with  Centerplate.
