Swamp Classic update

Good evening Timberwolves!

I would like to start by thanking everyone for their
patience and understanding as we try our best to deal
with this crazy weather situation. I share your
frustrations, and wish I could control mother nature.

The forecasts all say we are going to have up to 10
inches of rain over the weekend. Chances are the
contest will be cancelled. This is unfortunate
because our students have been working incredibly
hard to prepare for the unveiling of the Oracle!
All of our booster parents have also done an
incredible job preparing for this weekend.

All we can do is plan for the contest to happen.
If the weather prevents us from going, so be it. With
that being said, we will practice tomorrow as scheduled.
If the weather becomes ugly, we will do our best to
inform you of any changes in the schedule via the
band website, the multiple Facebook pages, and emails
through the Charms system.

According to the weather stations, we are supposed
to have this weather through Monday. Because of this,
I am deciding now that we will need to rehearse next
Wednesday to help make up for all of the time lost
this week, and likely this weekend.

My concern now is shifted to the BOA contest next
weekend. This is a national level contest, and we
have spent countless hours and money to attend.
I want that experience to be life-changing for everyone!

In the end, I guarantee no one will remember the
rehearsals, Sun burns, long hours, etc. They will
remember the great performances, and the life long
friendships made in Band! We are, after all, family!

Thank you for all of your support! We must remember
that the most important thing is the kids! And we
have the best in all the land!!!

Sincerely,
Mr. Barfield
