White Knoll High School Band
Dear Parents,
As our school year begins, I would like to welcome you and your family into the music community here at White Knoll High School. We are very excited to have you here, and want to take this time to celebrate not only the hard work your child will put into the next year in music class, but also the skills that they will develop through their experiences in their ensemble.The lifelong benefits your child will obtain through music expand beyond the classroom and are transferable to every other academic subject. Some of the topics we will discuss are goals for the band, ways to communicate, Schoology, Powerschool for accessing grade information, grading expectations, and ILT. I also wanted to let you know about the various ways you can get involved in your child’s musical journey this year.

• Chaperoning performance trips
• Encouraging him or her to practice, practice, practice!
I would be delighted to go into detail about these opportunities with you in person, and I look forward to meeting you on August 25th at our Back to School Night, starting at 6 PM.
