Having heard from various concerned parents, I need to address a small issue with the TNT Stands to make sure everyone is on the same page. First of all, if you plan to work either of the stands, please be sure to sign up in Charms so we have a good idea of how many people plan to show up. That is not to say if you get a call from someone asking if you can come help at the last minute that you won’t get a “point” if your name is not in a slot on Charms. Just be sure to sign your name on the log at the stand.
The bigger issue, though, has been that we are getting way too many students at the stands who are showing up, putting their names on the log, then not doing their fair share of sign waving to have actually earned their “point”. I have personally been to each stand more than once and seen it for myself. Beginning Saturday, please limit the number of students doing sign waving or flag/rifle twirling to the number of slots on Charms. I do not want to discourage parents or students from working this important fundraiser for the band, but it is also not fair to those who are working to have too many students at the stand to where they are doing more sitting around than actually working, yet they are getting the same valued “point”.
